“If you cannot get rid of the family skeleton, you may as well make it dance.” – George Bernard Shaw
Thank you for visiting Unsolved Family Mysteries, a little spot on the web where stories are created out of the traces of truth in the histories of families like yours and mine. Hey, there might be some amazing encounters hiding in the recesses of family lore. Or there could be delicious scandal. In any event, it’s a story.
My name is Bryce Amburn. I’m writing a novel inspired by a true mystery in my wife Lauren’s family. As I research this case, I hope to find puzzle pieces that will help the picture become clearer of what happened. Although my work is fiction, every clue uncovered serves to contextualize the events for me. I don’t know if we will ever know exactly what happened to Marcia Nolan, but her story can still be told. Join me as I construct this tale of a true unsolved family mystery.
Additionally, I am very interested in sharing stories of other families who have their own mysteries. If you have a mystery in your own family that you would like to share or have researched, please contact me at:
